For parents
Written to be safe for children.
Every story on Moonlit Nook is meant to be heard in a bedroom, with a parent nearby. Age bands change the vocabulary and length, not the promise: the world of the story stays kind from the first sentence to the last.
What we do not write
No violence, injury, or weapons. No death, illness, or abandonment. No monsters, jump-scares, or nightmares. No bullying, romance, adult themes, swearing, or copyrighted characters. Tiny troubles — a missing sock, a shy animal — may appear only if they resolve with warmth.
Age ranges
Ages 1–3 hear very short, repeating, sleepy language. Ages 3–5 get a simple sequence. Ages 5–8 receive a gentle plot. Ages 8–11 hear richer sentences that still end in rest. You pick the band; the storyteller stays inside it.
You keep the remote
Auto-continue is off until you turn it on. Pause whenever you like. Optional details you type are included only when they are gentle; anything that is not child-safe is ignored.
Newly written stories exist for this visit. They are not a public feed. Ready-made tales on the home page are the ones we keep on the shelf.
